[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just some boring old grass seed heads in a different light. I thought I'd try something a little different so I went walking at sunset and tried to capture some different shots. This is my favourite.

I intentionally underexposed the shot to get the grass as a silhouette.

PP. Paintshop. Sraightened, resized and framed. All the levels have been left as I took the shot.

A very fine, photo, lovely clean spaces. Worthy note, too, showing beginners how to expose a sunset! I would have preferred a landscape format with less space at the top and more to the left, but that's just personal taste.

I have plenty of such shots :)
It's the best way to photograph grass and you did it perfectly.
I like it very much.

Hi Sue, I love the silhouette, its different and evocative. I would lose some of the bottom of the image but that is my subjective view. The BG colours are beautiful and the grasses stand out pin sharp against the sky. Nicely done :)

Beautiful shot, Sue! I love the composition, placement of the setting sun behind the straws and off center, and underexposure of the foreground so that it wouldn't distract the viewer from the main subject. This particular sunset itself wouldn't be too interesting, but you made it really worth looking at. Regards,
