Hi Erwin. It may be a Robin from New Zealand but i am not to sure. Whatever it is You have taken a fine close up of this little bird. I like the pose with it looking down on you. Good detai land natural looking colours. TFS.

It is a Fantail. If it was taken in Australia I'd say Grey Fantail but this looks a little bit different. Possibly linked one:

Anyway nice photo. It must be very close as it is taken with a 105mm.

You caught him quite well, as they are fast little birds and we can see the movement in one foot. Nice bright eye too
