[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken the night after the major floods we had here in the Manawatu in February 2004.

Many homes were flooded in the area. Over 50 familys were displaced from their home for more than 3 months in the local area. In Scotts Ferry, a small settlement 15 minutes from Bulls, every house was flooded. The rivers burst through flood banks and backed up. Some houses were flooded up to the eves. No one died.

After 6 months most families were back in their homes after drying them out, clearing silt and rebuilding.

I have not altered the shot other than re-sizing and adding a frame.
