Hi Sue,
Your ID is correct indeed.I believe these came from Aussie in the 70's.
I find them quite difficult to photograph well like this. I'm not sure why. Possibly something in the quality of the orange tones makes it hard for the digital to register properly.
My side shots of these often come out too bright and blurry. Thats why I've dozens that I haven't posted.
If you find the larger white ones,they are easier to shoot and are natives as well. Clive hasn't found them up north (Auckland) yet,unlike these which are very common everywhere.

Very good composition, Sue. These fungi well aligned deserve well the title you've choosen. They come out nicely against the BG, but IMO, the foreground is a bit distractive relatively to the superb oblique line. I did a WS to show what I mean.

I love the composition. It loks really nice. The focus is a bit soft though and I think Felipes suggestion to use a tripod is usefull. Very well done.

I am afraid I can help you with the id this time.
The diagonal composition is very nice, and vivid colours contrast with the BG. gives a great contour. A tripod would have helped for a sharper image at 1/30. Thanks for sharing ths beautiful scene.

I like the composition and the colors A LOT in this picture. Very well done. Focus is a little soft on some points, f5 was a little too shallow for this shot. Light is great, very warm. It's like an orange train going up a hill of wood. I love this picture. Well worth the big smiley. TFS!

Hello Sue, excellent composition. The colours look good too. As others have said it's a little soft in places. Along with a tripod try using a diffused flash (you could use a piece of paper or tissue to experiment with) to soften the light.
