I found this very attractive fungi growing on a dead branch. It had no stalk and was about 1.5cm accross. I have been unable to ID it. So any help would be appeciated.

**ID Crepidotus sp. Thanks to Fungiman for the ID**

I liked the radiating pattern from the center of this fungi and the colour shading.

I had to get my camera up under the branch to get this profile of the fungi, thanks goodness for a moveable camera body. I was also a contortionist... I'm sure some of you can imagine...

I used paintshop to crop and frame the image.

Beautiful!Nice composition.

Hi Sue, you're getting yo be quite a contortionist, aren't you? Good compo, the fungus is a bit soft and but the patterns certainly show up well. Well done.

This is just a bit out of focus, Sue, but I do love the tones and the strong composition.

Hi Sue,
Excellent composed, great POV.
Very good background and colour.
TFS!

We've had this one before I think Sue,but I cant recall its name.Clive will probably know.I think Paul (PDP) had a post of this one.
Obviously the light was a little dim.
You can try bumping up your EV (exposure value) a little.
For some reason, rotating the camera another 90 degrees seems to help sometimes too.I've no idea why.

Hello Sue,
A nice shot.
Excellent composition and POV,nice dark background.
Great work,well done.

Very interesting perspective of the fungus. The pattern is also beatiful. I have not seen it before - good luck with the ID.

Hello Sue!
Very nice and unusual capture.I liked 3D effect, lighting and composition very much.thanks for sharing.

Hi Sue,
Great composition of this fungi in a nice dark BG. Focus is a bit soft, otherwise could have been a wonderful photo.
Nice POV and colours.
TFS.

Hello Sue

Congrats on getting this shot. Sounds like it was quite a task. Apart from the image being soft, it is a great capture. You have managed to get all the subject in the frame and shot its colour and texture well. Good work. Thanks.

Hi Sue, this is very similar to an image I posted last year. I identified mine as Crepidotus variabilis I think yours may be the same, although I am not that good on Fungi IDs.

Nice composition and details, very well done.

Hello Sue!
Fantastic shot. I really love this unual subject and great composition.

Crepidotus variabilis is a good name but does not acure here in New Zealand. It may not be a described species so the best name to call it is Crepidotus sp.

The patterns and contrasts are very pleasing. The focus is a bit soft but it adds some artistic look to if. I like it.
