[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this beautiful leaf skeleton laying on the liverwort. I couldn't tell the tree that the leaf came from as there was only the skeleton left.

I think the plant the leaf is on is a large thallose liverworts. Marchangia berteroana This liverwort commonly has a rosette form. This plant is covered with numerous raised cup-shaped gemmae. This species is widespread throughout the country in damp areas.

I set my ISO to 200 for this shot as there was very little light. I rested my camerea against a rocky area to stop camera shake.

I increased brightness and contrast slighly in Photoshop then resized and framed.

I liked the textures and the fine filiaments of the leaf's skeleton on an unusual background.

Not common shot Sue. Arty and very well spotted. I like shape of this dead leaf - it remanded me that for 3 months all Polish leaves would look like this one. Brrrrr... ;-)
