[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this common garden snail who had obviously eaten his fill. He was very reluctant to come out for the camera. You can see him taking a wee peek from under his shell.

It was too dark to rely on natural light so I had to use the flash. As I was so close the lens causes a shadow so I had to use my mark II paper light deflector. I used both a blue and white piece of paper. The blue had the better results, not as harsh. This shot is using the blue.

I used paintshop to crop, frame and resize the image.

Hi Sue, your little snail reminds me of me. I'm kind of slow to wake up too. Nice use of your flash and deflector. What do suppose the world looks like through the snail's eyes? :) TFS!

Hi Sue, good shot of the common garden snail. It is quite intriging to see them opening up. I can't say I've seen many of these around home lately. Good macro, and results. Well done.
