Hi Tony,
This is new to me, I didn't know there was sand dunes in New Zealand.. this shot reminds me of the beaches of Northeast Brazil or "Nordeste"... wonderful capture, and yes the light
is just fine, great composition my friend and thanks for not missing the opportunity..

another fine post from you, looks like the picture is divied into beautiful layers,the water, the earth & the sky make a wonderful combination here, the pov is very good, lovely natural colour tones,the ripples in the flowing water and the reflection of light on the water adds to the look and makes the shot lively, very well composed shot,the dark and light patches on the earth look very beautiful,

Hi Tony,

We have driven on gone to Ahipara along Hokianga Harbour to the ferry of Rawene. Therefore I must have also seen the dunes. I can no longer remind myself. These dunes seem a lot much on the sand dunes of Mangawhai. A very nice capture indeed. Lovely colours. The shadows from the clouds give a special effect on the sand. Regards and TFS Bob

excellent tones you have caught here, the lighting is very good too. I like silvery effect on the water, and the thin strip of beach in the foreground gives it some dpeth too.

I didn't expect to see sanddunes in New Zealand! This is just beautiful. The layer of the dunes between the lovely colors of the sea and the sky are striking. What marvelous scenery you have there and how well you capture it.

Captured beautifully at this very moment, I know how fleeting the light can be between clouds and sometimes you only have seconds.
Exposed perfect for that wonderful light on the sanddunes and water.
The horizon of the lake edge, maybe a level would look good also.

Hi Tony,
Magnificent light and shadow effect and the glistering waters looks stupendous. I am as much astonished as others to see sand dunes in New Zealand and you have captured them so beautifully. The ambience is breath-taking and I can feel the fresh and cool breeze gushing onto me. Excellent POV and a superb composition. Kudos.

The light here makes this shot unusual, Tony. The colours are very subdued, yet the shadows make everything seem to have movement.
