[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another photograph taken on my way up to the top of the Wairere Falls near Matamata. The trip was my first attempt to photograph waterfalls. I think I may have the shutter speed to slow in this one. Next time I will try auto-bracketing to see the different effects of speed on the look of the water.

Apart from photographing the scenery the other reason for going to the falls was to locate a "geocache". Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit and to see the countryside. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache.

In this kind pf pictures its very hard to get an excellent picture because the BG burns because of the long exposure...
In this picture the BG is not very burned!
The colros are great and the water are really good, the texture is excellent!

WellDone!

Just plain beautiful Scott! Well done! TFS!

Hi Scott
Very good effect and the light is beautiful
I like very much the light
Nico

Some parts of the shot are a bit dark but I still like it and although I'm still learning aout post processing I'm sure you could use something like PhotoShop to lighten it up a bit. Still is a great shot though you've captures the water well and the composition is very good. I also really like the colours you have captured, well done Scott.
