[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I had no idea what these fungi were called,but Clive tells me they could be Clitocybe gigantea. They are big.The largest was over 30 cm across.They were nestled amongst dead branches and needles in a small area of Pinus radiata on my in-laws farm.
(Pinus radiata is not a native of New Zealand,but is widely grown as a fast growing timber tree).
When I have found out a bit more about these I will add to my notes. Thanks Clive.

We have got similiar here in Poland Steve! When I was child it was great pleasure to run in forest to seek them and then...well...you know...to destroy it with stick or boots :-) Thanks for this post!

Hi Steve, Interesting photo try for a name Clitocybe gigantea normal found in exotics forest, believed to be introduced.

The image is great Steve. Nice POV also showing some underside. Good work
