[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While walking along the river trail, I stopped to take a pic of this fungus, of a kelp like consistency - flexible - and spotted this wee fellow. What was so amazing was that he is white - I have only ever seen them red before.

Hi Merran, This shot seems to suffer a bit from overexposure. If you half press your shutter on the brightest parts of the image and then recompose your image before pressing your shutter all the way down you can prevent bright white overexposed areas. The rest of the image will be dark but you can deal with that in photo editing software whereas overexposed areas cannot be rescued. I hope I'm not teaching my grandmother to such eggs saying this.
I do think it is an interesting subject and I like the way you've composed the image with the millipede at an angle. It's nicely framed. Well done and welcome to TN :)

I think Hollies advice is pretty much spot on.
I also think that this copuld be a type of millipede rather than a centipede. Most millipedes are rounded on top, thin and dark grey, but there are species that look like this too.
