I went for a walk up our local mountain, Mt Maungatautari the other day. Maungatautari is a rather imposing mountain, that can be seen from a great distance - it's foothills are very extensive, and the drive around the mountain takes a good hour, at the legal speed limit!
On the way up the eastern track, I saw this Greedy Little grasshopper busy eating pollen. He let me get really close, so I got this shot of him. |
