WELL a break from my school pics tonight .
HERE IS A STREAM SHOT TAKEN AT Mt PIRONGIA THAT I TOOK ON ANZAC DAY .THIS PHOTO NEEDS NO STORY IT SAYS IT ALL YOU CAN ALMOST HEAR THE WATER FLOWING OVER THE ROCKS. A VERY SPECIAL PLACE IN THE WAIKATO
IT IS A Unique and special PLACE FOR ME AS IT WAS MY LOVE OF LIZARDS THE AND CONSERVATION THAT TOOK ME HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME.I WAS ASKED TO HELP WITH MY NZ LIZARD DISPLAY AT A CONSERVATION WEEKEND. THATS WHEN I MEET CLIVE (FUNGI MAN) AND STEVE (LORDPOTTY) .STEVE TOOK A GROUP OF US FOR A WALK AND TALK DOWN THIS SAME TRACK DOWN BY THIS STREAM ONE COULD SAY SHOWING US PARTS OF HIS PLAY GROUND.
THIS PART OF THE STREAM HAS STUCK IN MY MIND EVER SINCE.
STEVE AND CLIVE HAD SOME WICKED PHOTOS AND INTRODUCED ME TO TREK NATURE .
AS FOR MY NEW FOUND FUNGI FETISH THAT STARTED AT PIRONGIA TOO FINDING MY FIRST ONE IN THE WILD THINKING IT WAS A BABY STINK HORN THEN TO FIND OUT FROM STEVE IT WASINT FUNGI AT ALL BUT A RARE FLOWER OF THISMAIA RODWAYI CLOSELY RELATED TO THE ORCHIDS. ALL THE REST IS HISTORY . |

Good capture Gareth. The shutter speed it exactly right in my opinion. Nice POV and good light showing the mossy rocks well. Nice presentation. Well done. Thanks

Excellent Gareth, what a wonderful stream and waterfalls. Yes, I can hear the water splashing over the rocks. And look at the ferns on the rocks. Ex compo. Well done.
So this is where you met the other 2 lads and got introduced to TN. This Fungi Fetish sounds a bit dangerous!! And a really good note... TFS.
I like this one very much. Indeed you can hear the water flowing. Nicely done with the long exposure time so you get the movement. Thanks for sharing.
