This IS NEW ZEALAND ICON KORU

The koru of the unfurling fern frond represents the strength and renewal provided by our natural environment.
The shoot of the fern has a curled-over tip which unfurls and becomes a fernleaf.
The koru reaches towards the light, striving for perfection, encouraging new positive beginnings. The koru, represents the unfolding of new life, that everything is reborn and continues. It represents renewal and hope for the future.
A Maori proverb of the KORU translates
one falls one rises conveying the cycle of life and death
As one branch dies another replaces it.

Gareth this is a great shot of the Koru. The colours and details of it are sharp and so easy to see. I like how you have the background of the bush showing too. Very well done.

Looks like a Maori motif present on many artifacts .

Nice fern frond maybe a little to dark, unlike Jancie I dont like the background :)
