Monarch Butterfly on Banksia. Taken with zoom lens, apiture set to f/5, auto shutter speed and average metering, shooting up. I couldnt get above it as it was high in the bush - this is as close as I could get.
They are hanging around late this year, getting the last of the pollen before they leave for the winter, competing with the bees who are also stocking up for the winter :) |
