[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another fungi shot I pulled out of my files from when I lived in the North Island.
I shot this in the rainforest on Mount Pirongia, but never got around to posting it because I couldn't positively identify it.
I still can't.
It almost looks as though it could be a young Auricularia,or Ear Fungus, but I can't say for certain.
I thought it was attractive enough, though,to warrant posting.
Hope you think so too.
Steve

Hi Steve!

No idea about ID :-( But it looks good. Another picture from my favourite kind - fungus from microforest. Very good taken, detailed, with good DOF. I like pieces of spider's web - nice bonus to composition.

Hello Steve,
Nice showing of rainforest. Good pov, dof and exposure. Details and texture of the cap clearly seen. TFS

Interesting angle of inclination, shape and colours of this mushroom, Steve.
A well composed image, indeed.
Thanks and bye.

Hello Steve,
Interesting sharp shot of this weird fungus, I've not seen one of that shape. Auricularia tends to be jelly-like, this looks rather solid, or? I would guess its a bracket fungus of which there are many species, also depending on what kind of tree they grow.
TFS, Ulla
