Song Thrush
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) introduced into New Zealand 1862-78. It is now relatively common in towns and open countryside. Their song are one of the great pleasures in winter through to summer at dawn. Will sing at night in well lit areas. This thrush has only recently moulted and therefore has very fresh looking feathers. |

Nice shot, I like the soft colours and the detail you have captured in the feathers. The bird is well posed and the branch it is sitting on frames the shot nicely.
Hi Richard
Very nice shot. Good clear sharp detail and a great pose from this wee fella. Love the background. Nice work. Well done!
