Beautifully shaped and patterned, variously coloured leaves in fine hues Janice, they form a nice composition against a dark BG. TFS this fine image my friend, hope to see a posting on "Hochstetter's frog" in the near future!

Hi Janice

A splendid close-up on this very beautiful plant and its leaves.
This type of abstract shots i find really great because they make use of the imagination of both the shooter and the viewer.
The geometrical shapes here are amazing and create a splendid composition. Add to that the gorgeous colors and the small but very nice reflections and you have a charming and very original capture.

This is the sort of shots that I like a lot, very aesthetic and graphical quality to it, the frame is filled very nicely, beautiful pin-sharp leaves with very interesting colours, stands out very well on that black background. Was wondering how it will look framed - check out my workshop,

Hello Janice,
If I hadn't read your note I would have though this was a house plant, decorative for its leaves. The leaves of the Parataniwha plant are very varied in colour it seems, well captured in this image.
The lighting and composition with the dark spaces between the leaves is excellent and forms a pleasing pattern.
I presume that the colours depend on the age of each leaf, the younger ones being reddish.
