Something new, something different today! Very arty shot of caterpillar, full of colours and with great composition.
I can't write no more, my hands are like blocks of ice after long journey to work. This morning we've got -18C !!!!!! -----18C

Hallo Janice
Not only is this caterpillar hungry as per your title, it is beautiful as well. The colours and patterns are striking, and the body looks so soft and chubby. Now I cannot really say that I like worms or caterpillars or maggots or larvae's or any of these wormy creatures but this one really is a beauty and it tickle my fancy with its bright colours and lovely markings. Did you breed these as food for the Gannets, from your previous postings? Ha-ha only pulling your leg.
This is a lovely image, captured in fine style and presented in a pleasant manner.

Hi Janice,
I like this picture with a summer feeling.
Well composed with fine details and very good DOF the caterpillar is well in focus and standoffish well from the BG.
Greg has summer in Polen ;-), yesterday when we was uot looking for a Lapland Owl (Great Grey Owl) it was around -20C.
Enjoy your summer as long as you can.

This is a great macro Janice!
I like the way you catured this Monarch caterpillar entwined round its food plant stem taken from a great POV with excellent sharpness and DOF to give a superb neutral BG.
You mention that the food plant is called a Swan plant. As I know that the main food plants of this species are various species of Asclepia, I assume that the Swan plant is also an Asclepia.

hello Janice

I am impressed with the sharp focus on this caterpillar showing its yellow/black stripes so well and contrasting so nicely with the green stem. Superb clarity and really good choice of bokeh effect for this macro close up shot.

Perhaps I must also say the position of the worm and facing the camera is telling me that you have waited for this fine moment, a skill of photography that we should all learn about.
