Hi Janice,
What a beautiful place, I can imagine you were thrilled to see this scenery. A great capture too, perfect DOF and detail. No suggestions for improvement here, great image.
Best regards,
Adrian
Oh my what a beautiful sea/landscape. We have nothing to compare it with here exactly. Plenty of nice views but not the mountains with snow right there on the sea level or appearance thereof...Nicely done and good glass with that pano! Is that one with a Leica lens? well seen.

No doubt, a beautiful piece of nature Janice, captured expertly as a serene landscape, from cool blues to warm browns. Would like to be there sometime...

Hi Janice
Solitude, peacefulness, any place where there is quiet and nobody to rub it in. Isn't this where you would like to be right now, especially after the hiding the Chiefs got from the Sharks last night? Sorry, that made me sound as spiteful or as malevolent as a Bulls fan. I won't rub it in so forget that I mentioned it, OK. Back to the photo. Solitude, peacefulness, a place where it is absolutely quiet and secluded so nobody can … Oops, almost I went there again, but then I realised I already mentioned the thrashing (chuckle).
No, jokes aside, this is a beautiful landscape shot of a lovely scene with tremendous depth and visual stimulus. The tree in the foreground gives excellent scale and perspective while the huge lake and the enormous blue mountains in the distance provides perfect scale to the magnitude and dimension of the panorama. The f/9 aperture has ensured amazing detail throughout the entire range of the photo, the contrasts are well balanced due to spot-on exposure management, the composition (although the scenery provided a rather complex mix) stayed well within the boundaries of the guiding rules for 'compositional photography', and the colours are well saturated yet very natural.
Great work MF and TFS.

Hello Janice,
This must be a wonderful day. You can see the misty condition above the lake. Great composition. Wonderful landscape colors. The tree at the right and the mountains on the left lead you to Mount Cook. Perfect. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day and TFS BOB
How was your trip to Muriwai? No accidents with the grandkids and their mountainsbike escapades.

Dear Janice,
magnificent scenery in the clear air of Autumn. A very pleasant combination of warm hues in front, and icy blue in the distance. Very nicely composed with the trees. A fabulous place to be.
Thank you! With best regards from the Northern Alps with peaks still covered with deep snow,
Peter

Wordsworth wrote a lovely poem, the Solitary Reaper...I wonder why that poem comes to my mind when I see this shot, there's so much life here, in this shot, yet it seems a trifle melancholic, if I may.The contrsts in this shot are truly amazing, Janice, the clarity and sharpness outstanding. This is a work of art, a collectors' shot!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful shot!
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards!
