[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At the side of the road near one of the Nelson Lakes,we found this curious little bird, which at first,I didn't recognize.
After a while I decided it must be a Skylark.
When I got home I pulled out The Country Life Boook of the Natural History of the British Isles, and realised that it must be a Pipit.
I can't say for certain that it is a Tree Pipit or a Meadow Pipit but I'm thinking it must be the first.
I think it's a super little bird anyway.
Hope you like it too.

Very nice shot Steve!
The composition and POV are very good, though I would maybe cropped it a bit from bottom. It would be also good to add some contrast here. It could emphasize these nice colours.
Anyway, the photo is really good and I like it.
Well done!

Beautiful shot..well done

Nice shot Steve, You've composed it well and this shot has good details colors and light..I agree - super little bird! TFS

Well done on this capture and details.
In this case, the bird should be more to the left, having more space on the right or cropping just behind the bird as the the bird is looking right.
Here's a w.s. as an example of camera's position.

Nice shot Steve, framed a little too large IMO.
Well done.

Good shot Steve. You got right down onto its level. Makes for a great POV. IMO I would have cropped it a bit tighter to enlarge the Pipit more. Good details and light. Thanks
