Wauw, it is beautifull. I really like the colours in this picture! Excellent detail! Are you able to increase the Focal-length of your camera? Maybe to about 150mm? If so, you will be able to increase the DOF, using a low F-number. Great bird, great shot. Compliments Arjuna.
Hi Steve,
Long time

Hello Steve,
This is a brilliant profile of this Kea posing very nicely for you. Great sharpness and I like the way you've captured the beautiful green colours of the plumage. I've seen on the TV how destructive it can be! Nevertheless a very unique and beautiful parrot. Well done!

Hi Steve,
It's a very interesting species for me. Never seen any kinds of parrots in wildlife (we don't have any in Turkey) Very good focus, sharpness and clarity. Hope to see New Zealand in the future, there is so much to explore over there :o)
Cheers

Hi Steve,
I always love a great shot of a malicious kea. Your results came out fantastic. You should concider trying a lower f-stop to isolate your subject more, you might also like the results you get with a shallower DOF. Wonderful shot and hope to see more of these naughty birds. :)

well it's a nice one Steve,
the pov is good and the capture is great, personal I think that a little bit contrast can made the shot better, farther good photojob here.

Hello Steve,
This is really interesting bird species. I always wanted to see kea in the wild as in Poland it is possible only in museums. Very good DoF and POV.
TFS and best greetings,

Good pose of the Kea and that terrible bill. Great sharpness, plumage detail and POV.
I think the shot would have been even better if the background was OOF. Not easy to do with a compact camera, but you can blur the background later in Photoshop or similar. I've done this in the workshop.

Another beautiful photo... amazing colors.. the bird blends so well with the background. Nice DOF. Lovely detail, I like the single foot that is visible. POV is excellent, and the composition enhances the image. TFS, Mish
