Limestone formations protruding from the landscape going through Arthur's Pass over the Southern Alps at Castlehill. These rocks are very popular with rock climbers.

Hello Russell,
I like the feeling of this landscape, even if it is totally without larger vegetation!
Good lines in the composition and fine details, nice feeling of depth...
Welcome to TrekNature, keep posting and have fun!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Well seen.
I really enjoy the composition in this picture. I LOVE the lines and shapes. ... and the mood.
Is it your first picture? Well, keep them coming. I LOVE this one.

Stunning scenery, I love the contrast between that smooth green grass and the rocks with the mountains behind.

G'day Russell.
Welcome to TN. Very beautiful image. Great landscape. Lovely light and a good panoramic crop. Well done.
Regards, Steve.

Hi Russell

I am going to keep my eye out for this location on our way through the Arthur's Pass. Hopefully the weather will be kind so I too can have an image as good as this. I hope you have this framed and hanging on your wall. It is stunning! :-)

I know this spot well Russell, and of course being a caver from way back,I've been through the cave a few times too.
A great moody shot of this bleak landscape.
