[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Theres one way to get a group of over 70s gentlemen all tugging their white beards and squabbling like children.Send them a photo of something like this.
I found this orchid about a week ago near Punakaiki on the West Coast,and there has been furious debate over which species it might be.
At first it was identified as Nematoceras dianema,which had previously only been found on Macquarie Island near Australia.
Then it was thought to be N.iridescens formerly sighted in the far South.
Now,it seems,it may be a new but related taxon.
I've sent better photos to all the pundits and am preparing to dissect a sample for examination.
I'll keep you posted.

Keep up the work with this one, I think it will be worth the effort.
Nice photo but a little more DOF would be great to get the whole orchid in focus.
