Kahikatea Trees, family of Podocarpaceae. West Coast, South Island.
Taken at Lake Brunner early morning, photo has been converted from colour to black & white.
Lake Brunner is the West Coast's largest lake, formed by glacier movement many thousands of years ago.
This is a stand of mainly Kahikatea Trees growing around the lake edge and from in the lake.

Hi Russell

Welcome to TN.

I visited Lake Brunner last year during during our annual holiday to the South Island. I love your choice of B&W. I works extremely well. Nice work. We are currently on this years annual holiday. Currently in a wet and windy Dunedin. Heading to the West Coast via Haast in the next few days.

Kia ora Russell.
This looks good in BW. The reflections on the water, and those Kahikatea standing tall against the bush background - just great!
Well done
Janice

Hi Russell.
A beautiful scene, nicely captured and composed.
I'm not a great fan of B&W for nature shots myself,so think I would have enjoyed it more in colour.
I think a slight rotation is needed too.
It looks from the reflection of the trees as though the horizon is not quite horizontal.
Still a pleasant image though.
Cheers,Steve
