[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Inspired by Joes 'Lake District Cascade' the other day, I went out to the site of the old Brunner Mine by the Grey River today, just to photograph this little cascade.
This is actually the first time I've ever done a 'long exposure' of a waterfall.
Its quite amazing how forest cascades like this look almost the same the world over. There are even some of the same ferns as in Joes photo.

I've put Brunnerton as the location, but Brunnerton doesn't actually exist any more. There was once a thriving mining town on this site a hundred years ago. Now there is only native forest, full of rusty old steam engines, deserted mine shafts and coking furnaces.

Near here today, I managed to find a few native orchids I hadn't seen before, as well as some carnivorous Drosera (Sundew plants) which I will also post soon.

A great scene from the West Coast Cascade and a worthy dedication to our friend Joe. The green mossy rocks are very impressive like. Great shot indeed.

I never managed to have this silky effect, but I also never found such a nice place.

Hi Steve, A nice dedication to Joey i am sure he will like it very much. This is a beautiful looking area which you have captured with fine detail and rich colours.I like the green coverd rocks with the young fern growing on the. well done TFS.

A fine and eye pleasing composition captured via a slow shutter Steve, which gave the flowing water a silky-soft look. Those moss covered rocks provide good colour contrast. TFS this fine image my friend.

I have to stop by your gallery once in a while, to congratulate one of your beautiful pictures that I enjoy or to contemplate some mysterious fungi. I like those places that you photograph, moss and water, big stones, places untouched by the sun or even where few humans seem to be going. Many thanks, LordPotty,

I am I glad that in the middle of the autumn, we cand see some "fresh" pictures here, not only yellow,red, and other specific colors. I like the stone , full with some green algae, probably.
