Hi Folks !
Well ... I'm still here after nearly 3 years, and I've learnt a lot and made some great friends here.
I've wandered off for a while at times, and sometimes not had the time to participate as much as I'd like, but here I am posting photo number 300.
I want to thank all of you who have looked at my pictures over the years, and given me so much encouragement and valuable advice.

I'd like to celebrate with this wonderful little cluster of mushrooms I found on the Coal Creek walkway near Runanga.
They are Humidicutis mavis, a white spored mushroom that is found in leaf litter during the Autumn here.
They are often found singly, so I considered myself very lucky to have found such a neat wee clump.

I'd also like to invite you to view all the amazing New Zealand fungi that I have arranged into a theme:
Fungi of New Zealand

Its a fantastic collection of images which I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Have fun! Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve,
Congrats on your 300th upload. To me that is a great achievement since I still have a long way to go. You've shown us some wonderful photos of a country that is still on my list to visit. This is another wonderful example of the smaller things on this earth that are so beautiful. The shape of this fungi is beautiful. The way it contrast with the dark green mosses and plants help to bring out every little detail.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Steve.
Excellent find, I have only seen them in singles. So fresh looking when they have just come up.
Congratulations on your 300 photos.

Hi Steve,
Congrats on your 3ooth,I know its not always been easy for you to be on site, but you are still here contributing fully and helping others to improve and learn, thank you for this it helps to make the site what it is.
An intresting group of beautifully captured white fungi, so difficult to do in dark conditions , maybe a slight lightening of the bottom right corner to allow some of the details to come out.

Hi Steve,
another beautiful fungi photograph. it is very nice, colors very good. Musci gives richness to photograph. best wishes
Ahmet

My congratulations for your 300, hope you share this hobby with you for many years more.
Thanks for your kind words too, they are appreciated.
Best regards, MF.

A belated congrats on number 300. I know what you mean about finding time, but I don't think anyone is keeping tabs. The idea is to log-on and share your work. I always like seeing your stuff, you've cetainly got some amazing fungi over there.
Well done with this one, I like the waxy look and illumination you've achieved. Good sharpness too.
Cheers
Chris

Hi Steve,
A late congratulations to Your 300th upload and a hot to this photo now. Very nice subtropical fungi again, another previously unknown specie to me (it doesn't live in Europe). The mushroom on the left is a little bit out of focus, but a very nice post overall. Tfs, best wishes, László
