[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the beach at the mouth of the Punakaiki River after a storm.
In certain conditions the sea gets whipped up into a white foam that blows inland.
Sometimes it blows right across the coast road and into the rainforest beyond.
I caught this in the late afternoon when it had quite a pleasant light on it.

Hope you like it.
Cheers,
steve

Hello Steve,
This is amazing! Not that foam of the beach is so strange but this is a lot! But then it is a big ocean too...
I like the light coming in at a low angle, adding life...
A well composed presentation with fine details!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Steve, for a moment I thought you had taken this shot from the aircraft on nowhere. When I opened the picture and read your note, it is from the beach. Lovely and fantastic shot. Foams all over and view is super Ganesh

Hi Steve,
Well I just looked at this one awhile ago and thought;
Now what can I say about this multi-layered foamy foam composition??
The late light has defintely produced a nice effect, adding that 3D look. Good detail also..
Now where's that bubble bath soap I was lookin' for? ;)
Well done.

Great detail.

Hi Steve

This is a totally different shot from you.I thought you were looking down at the clouds from a plane at first.I`ve never heard of this happening must be a sight to behold,it really is an amazing capture.
You could almost fall into it,another view to me is that it looks like snow on a frozen lake.
Thanks for sharing this.
Regards
Anita

Rob

Namastay Steve,
A beautiful phenomenon of this foam from sea. We here also came across this similar type of stuff when heavy flood in this rivers. A nice capture and well seen. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Sincerely
Hara

Hi Steve,

What a perfect light you have in the afternoon. Splendid. The sun must be standing in a very low position, when I saw the shadows over the foam?? I like the hole composition. It gives to me a very relaxing mood. The very low POV make this phot complete. Regards and TFS Bob

A really interesting capture Steve, and this one brought back sore memories.
It looks like the time when I put too much laundry detergent in the washing machine when I was a kid. Man did I get a whipping for that. TFS :)

Hi Steve. It is good to see this, so common along the west coast after a storm. I especially like the details in the foreground. Well composed and presented. Reminds me of Oakura beach days. TFS. Murray.
