[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've often posted photographs of the amazing mossy limestone creekbed of Bullock Creek, and some of my shots of the river valley have showed the limestone bluffs that tower over the creek.
When I took this I had been following the mossy creekbed with my head down, looking for orchids and things.
When I looked up in a clearing,I was inspired to take this shot.
There's something appealing to me about limestone cliffs ... perhaps because I'm a caver, and limestone always speaks to me of hidden wonders.
I think limestone rising up out of luxuriant rainforest is doubly attractive.
When you see limestone cliffs like this with tree ferns and nikau palms in the foreground you just know you are on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

Enjoy!
Steve

It is nice to see palm trees. The sky colour and greens turned out well. I do like your composition and the height of the bluff for this frame.
Only one little nit, and that would be to clone out that bit of branch at top left.
Good on you for sharing.

I like the look of these bluffs, Steve.
The profuse vegetation growing on them lends them a special charcter.
The wide tract of greenery in the foreground also balances the picture well.
Very soothing to the eyes.
TFS and regards,
Ram

It really is a paradise. I'd like to get in there to see the bird population. TFS

Hello Steve,

Nice capture, with wonderful Palms in the middle. The contrast between sky and the green wall is great. It is perfectly in balance. POV and BG are oké. You can realy good see the layers in the limestones. Must be a wonderful place to be there. Regards and TFS BOB

So it's a poker game then Steve? ;}
You've shown the lush vegetation, and the sheer face of the bluff rising up out of this rainforest very nicely mf. Great detail, color, and exposure..
Well done & have a great weekend!
