Beautiful view of the river. You might like to try capturing the view when the sky is a bit darker, or using a neutral gradation filter or light blue half filter to darken the sky. It seems to me that I can see a few traces of light pink bands from thin evening clouds (my imagination?) and it would be outstanding if you could broing those out more strongly.
Well just how lucky are you??? This is 5 minutes from your house!!! Gorgeous spot and a nice photo of it.
You might try bracketting your shots. I would imagine if you metered on the rocks and using Photoshop you might be able to retreive some details in the underexposed foreground. You might also try a graduated neutral density filter to even out the exposure on shots like this. You've probably already tried that....?

Hi Steve,
I've got the grocery store 5 minutes away from my home. Its a nice to have, but I rather have this stuning piece of nature. I like your POV with the river taking me into the photo and keeping me wondering what is behind the bend. I understand your exposure problem and agree with Evelynn on the sugestions. By bracketing you have several shots at different exposures, you can then use these in layers and delete out the OE parts to let the more underexposed photo shine through. (I've read this in a note with a photo, but need to figure it our myself as well)
