Hi Steve,
Yes, it looks like a great place for fungi mf.
And the misty BG seems to fit the title well..
One can "feel" the dampness in your shot.
Very good detail, color, and exposure.
Thanx for sharing this great shot from the "Cloud Forest"

Hallo Steve
This scenery reminds me a lot of the kind of scenes that the artist Jim Warren would use in his paintings, especially the ones where there are some fairies and elves hidden in the trees. The green moss on the tree branches is really something special and the whole "green" landscape creates a feeling of mystery and unpredictableness. A place where Hansel and Gretal would want to hide away. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

What an amazing place Steve!
With mosses, lichens and rotting wood everywhere this place oozes with moisture, a certain fungi locality.
The low POV and composition are great.
Thanks for this insight and I hope you can photograph its fungi sometime.
Cheers,
Ivan

Hello Steve,
I quite agree with Anna here when she talks about elves and fairies, Hansel and Gretl here...this is a place humming with mystic mood...
The composition is rich with content and the moss and lichens covered tree trunks makes enlivening elements.I love the way the trees in the BG stands eneveloped in a light mist. With a P&S to handle the lighting in such forests can be very tricky. But i guess you have already mastered the art of it, considering the fungi shots you have always brought from the depth of rainforests.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers

Dear Steve!
I'm also glad to discover your gallery. It's a pitty I haven't seen it before. I'm impressed by the diversity and the quality of your pictures.
This forest scenery remembers me what we call in French "Nature morte", an assembly of inanimated objects with an artistic and poetic background. The atmosphere in your picture is superb, the unity of the colour tones adds to its value. Moreover, I like the perspective created by the trunk pointing to the horizon.
Kind regards
Markus
