[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another shot of the beautifully decorated mushroom I posted a few months ago.
I also posted a shot of one with the cap inverted and filled with water Here

Pluteus velutinornatus
Velvety shield

Cap: 40-70mm diameter,at first convex then concave at centre,pale yellow-brown to pale pink-brown,decorated with velvety dark brown to black fibres in a lace like pattern.
Gills: Free,off white to pale pink-brown at first then dark pink.
Stem: 40-60mm high,4-10mm in diameter,cylindrical with a distinctly bulbous base,pink-brown to brown,bulb white.
Ring: Absent.
Flesh: Pale pink-brown,sometimes with a blue tint.
Spore print: White.
Habitat: Found on fallen branches and logs in broadleaf-conifer forest.
Fruiting Season: Mainly in the autumn but also after spells of warm rain.

I was on a holiday for a couple of days recetly away from Delhi and each time i saw muhrooms around the place, i woukld remember you.To me fungi shots have come to be quite ur forte.This one is no exception.
Superb details on the cap, the WS loks great too.

Have you ever tried Salvia? I just saw a YouTube..hmm...crazy...sometimes your mushroom almost goth images remind me of a different worldly plane...very strange..or perhaps I am a shape shifter with Alzheimers....

Wow! I love the intricate patterns on this mushroom.
Great shallow DOF and pin-point focusing in the low-light.
Very sharp and crisp.
Excellent exposure.

Superb capture of this interesting fungus with a beautiful and intricate pattern on its cap. Nicely camouflaged here against the background and I like the natural dim light.
