I like the dark moody atmosphere with the white water well done

The mist at the top adds a dimension to this picture, taking it from a nice shot of a river to a much more "moody" shot, possibly even with an ominous feeling.

The white foam may be slightly over exposed but the remainder of the scene more than makes up for that. Very nice indeed.

Nice shot of one of our many water ways. A little OE but that really is not a concern. The shot is well composed. I do like the dark green forest and mist in the BG. A very nice example of New Zealand. LOTR scenery. Well done.

These shots are not easy to get right.The contrast of the white water and the dark green with low light levels makes it difficult.
There seems to be a slight loss of detail in patches.Was this a hand held shot? Perhaps some condensation in the camera lens?
Still a very nice scene,and very well captured,considering the conditions.

Wonderful posting, Michael. You have a great composition with lovely contrasts, good DOF and rich color in the trees and moss. The overall mood of this shot, to my mind, is a one of great power and suspense. TFS.
