Vision through a rainbow from Mount Fox.
Late afternoon. Fuji FinePix S5000, ISO 200, F/3.2, 1/450, tripod.

To see a rainbow we need sunshine and rain.
Red is always outermost in the primary bow with orange, yellow, green and blue within. Occasionally, when the raindrops are small, fainter supernumerary arcs of electric greens, pinks and purples lie just inside the main bow.
A rainbow is not just a set of coloured rings.
The sky is brighter inside the bow because rainbows are disks of light rather than sets of coloured rings.

Rainbows take many forms. Multiple bows, bows that cross, red bows, twinned bows, coloured fringes, dark bands, spokes and more.

Hi Katheen,
This is a breathtaking, perfect expose first time I’ see the end of rainbow, do you excavate? they said on the end will be a pan with gold!!
KUDOS, TFS Best regards/Lawhill

Hello stranger :) I'm just back myself after a couple of weeks break.
A lovely vision indeed.
Where exactly is Mount Fox ? I don't know it.
Did you watch Artsville about Andris Apse last night? I wrote to him afterwards and he's invited me to visit him at Okorito.
Trouble is my car has died and looks like I might have to sell it :(
I'll still make it down there, even if I have to hitch. I've never been south of Ross down that way.
Hope you are well ... see you at camera club tomorrow night perhaps ?
Cheers, Steve

Hi Kathleen,
Great to see a beautiful post from you again.
Have missed them over the last couple of weeks.
Wonderful image with all those beautiful rays of color and it seems like I can see the pot of gold down there :)
Thanks for sharing and the great note.
Best wishes,
Harry

Hello Kathleen! Amazing shot. Wonderful rainbow, wonderful colors. Very original composition. Greetings!

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for looking at my recent picture and writing your critique on it.

The view seen through the rainbow colours in your picture has a bit of surrealistic look -- especially on the other side of the rainbow.
Overall, it is a highly artistic creation.
Thanks for sharing it and best regards.
