Pores: 7-13mm deep, adnate to slightly adnate, off white becoming dirty yellow to brown with age.

Stem: 45-80mm high,10-25mm in diameter, more or less cylindrical, white to very pale yellow.

A highly prized edible mushroom, but needs to have slimy surface removed before eating.
NB Always taste a small amount before cooking to ensure that you have not mistakenly collected one of the similar peppery species.

Hola Steve,
Bonitos ejemplares, excelente foto donde se muetran en su hábitat natural, muy completos los detalles de este Suillus, muy común y abundante en nuestros pinares costeros, TFS. Saludos

Superb shot,Welldone.

Fartash

A lovely mycological capture.
The composition in the natural enviroment is very nice, and specimens are robust and healthy, although they are a bit old they still show their beauty.
My only nit again, is the DOF, just a bit short at the back due to the F:2,8... it is not serius, and you have already explained the reason to me, but I can avoid pointing out :) ... I promise it is the last time I tell you.
Best regards, MF and take it easy, think that life is short and we must get advantage of it as much as possible. At least receive our wireless vibrations, sent from the other part of the globe with our best wishes :)
Felipe.

Namastay Steve,
A beautiful capture of these fungi. Nice colors and the image is well balanced. Looks like a delicacy. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sincerely
Hara
