Hi Russell,
I don't think I've ever seen these guys up close before. They have such odd looking faces.
Its good you could catch two in frame at once.
Details are clear and exposure is ok.
Hope you get the chance to photograph the chicks too.
Cheers,Steve

Hi Russell, these are quite strange loking birds, aren't they? Very eye-catching with those yellow hoods on their faces.
It will be exciting for you having them nest so close to your house. And I look forward to seeing your next lot of photos of them plus the chicks,
Janice
Very nice ! I've never seen these birds before, or, for that matter, even heard of them. Nice POV in this photo, good color and detail. My only wish is that the DOF were a little wider so that both of them were in focus.. but it still works well the way it is.
TFS, Mish

Spur-winged plovers are living near to Mediterranean and these guys are masked lapwings I think. May be these are also called Spur-winged.
Hi Russell,
I have never seen this beautiful birds before. Very special. But I live DU. You have a lot of luck to catch two in frame at once. Natural colors. Good POV, DOF and BG. regards and TFS Bob

Hello Russel,
These birds are MASKED LAPWINGS common in Autralia! They're beautiful birds and you've captured two of them very nicely here, one being sharply in focus the other one a bit soft but still a fine composition.
TFS and regards, Ulla
Hi Russell,
