[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Whilst waiting by our local aerodrome runway to take shots of a friend taking his new plane for its first flight, I turned over a large log, curious to see what lay beneath.
Funny how everything alive scurries for shelter as soon as the daylight hits them.
This little woodlouse was obviously heading for the nearest large shady object, a common garden snail.
Unfortunately, the object was stuck firmly to the surface (and we all know theres no hurrying a snail) so said woodlouse had to seek alternative refuge.
You can also see a millipede in the background making his way to a place of safety too.
What an interesting little community one can sometimes find under a log.

Hope you like.
Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve,
Life is always so busy in dark places. You have brought to light a few of them eloquently. I like the markings on the shell of the snail and its posture. I see a weird looking bug there too. Excellent POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Great catch of all these things at the same time. I especially think the textures and reflections of the snail are excellent.

TFS!

The world of macro does produce interesting finds.Destructive little creatures, but I guess necessary in the scheme of things.
Focus is great, and the earthy textures I like.

Namastay Steve,
A nice capture of the snail and the wood louse. A fine macro shot. The composition is excellent too. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sincerely
Hara
