[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Miss Sparrow was fliting her way around this tree begging to be photographed. She would sit on a branch in the shade and then decide she needed more rays and shifted to the branch in the sun. She was a joy to photograph as she played for the camera.

House Sparrow

This is a stout, stocky sparrow, with shorter legs and a thicker bill than native American sparrows. Members of both sexes are brown backed with black streaks throughout this area. Its underside is pale buff. Males have white cheeks and a black bib, while females do not. The tail is usually three-quarters the length of the wing.

Species (Latin): Passer domesticus

Shape: Perching Birds

Family: Buntings, Finches and Sparrows (Emberizidae)

Sparrow in trouble or cat in trouble ;-) ? Very nice Pam - detailed, sharp, with nice light and dark BG. I like those birds and your photo, too :-)

Hi Pam! Well the few Passer Domesticus which survived in NL will eat your cat! They fear nothing. :) Funny title. Very nice and sharp picture. I love house sparrows. Well done & TFS!

Running late, comments to follow..

Great shot of the sparrrow Pam, sharp details and good composition. The colors are just perfect and I love the black background, it adds making the shot a portrait instead of just another photo. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot with good lighting on the sparrow. Great details of the feathers. Just a bit the log and dark shadows cuts of a bit of it's tail.
Regards Toni

Bit of a rush today.
