Hi Janice
Oh to be back in NZ (though actually the sun is out today, though it is very cold and damp). A lovely composition with excellent shades and textures of green. Making this sort of habitat can be a real pain as it is difficult to convey the beauty of the environment, but you have made it look easy.

Hello Janice,
Great capture of a NZ luxuriant fern jungle, nicely composed with a little stream, all of which make it a great study in greens, light and shade.
Thanks for brightening up our winter gloom, which might have been a little better if we had snow, but we don'r want it now!
Best wishes, Ivan

Hello Janice,
This is just the kind of place I love - a lush Bush!! So green and fresh and beautiful!
Wonderful trees, and ferns that I'd love to have a closer look at and surely hiding lots of interesting little creatures! Lovely capture, very well composed!
Many thanks, Ulla

NO SNOW...HA! You are a big tease...but you shall get your winter soon enough, snow or no..and this is why I love summer so much. It shows the fine details of teh woods in which I can spend whole days hidden and crawling around as a kid, yet today in ill health can still enjoy your images..It is a fine image Janice. Very well done!

Hi Janice
I could easily loose myself completely in this spot. Exquisite surroundings, superabundant tranquillity, abounding flora, the sound of purling water, chirping birds in the background...oops, there my bubble just burst as I woke up and smelled my coffee.
Excellent capture with a fabulous POV, DOF, and details.
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. I'm having a good giggle with you rubbing the snow onto some sensitive and freezing northern hemisphere bodies.

Beautiful capture of an "isolated, heavily forested countryside". Colors and composition are fine. Makes the viewer feel they are there.
We don't have "The Bush" like yours here in this country. In the USA ours is much more tangled up and unpleasant. Here we call it "The George W. Bush". It is a lot different from yours. ;) ;)

A great shot of our bush. Good colours and the creek provides a great lead-in. Reminds of how relaxing it is to be in the bush taking photos. :)
As much as I like the green fern frond over the creek in the lower foreground, a small crop from the bottom to remove the dead palm frond would make it a stronger image.
Cheers

Beautiful lush green setting..just look at all those ferns Janice! :)
Love all those shades of green..and all those different species of plants. You could always go through the image and indentify each one by numbers for us? ;-}}
Well done & have a Great Weekend mf!

Hello Janice,
A lovely composition with excellent shades. The green textures have a so beautiful clarity. The little stream make this photo very special. It´s gives serene rest. You can almost hear the birds singing. Very good POV, DOF and BG. The rocks in the stream makes a nice distraction in the green world (-: I was in 2005 in the Waitakere Ranges and I can almost smell the clean air. Greetings and TFS BOB

Wonderful lighting and colour.

Hi Janice,
This reminded me of a shot I posted in March 2005 and when I looked at it again, realised that you had it in your favourites.
What a beautiful scene.
Nice work.
