Hi Chris,
Nice shot, good use of flash to bring out some fine detail. The darker conditions of its habitat make the flash a must do thing in this case..
Well composed - Well done.

Well captured Chris, being armed with bait shows some per-planning. Great result from the S3. how do you find it as compact type camera?

Hi Chris,
Wonderful shot of this cute looking Robin endemic to NZ, as you say. Very impressive sharpness and colours on its plumage. Very skillful work as it stands out perfectly from the darkish surrounding and you have used the flash lighting so well here. Nice pose captured with a precise DOF and well chosen low POV. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Well caught Chris.
You definitely needed the flash there.
It was pretty dark in that Beech forest with sooty mold all over the trees.
Cheers

Hello Chris,
A Very nice composition of this little robin. The darker conditions of its habitat make the difference between this Robin or a Robin lives in a normal habitat (city) It's fine to see such a little creature. I'll have never seen such a robin like this. Thanks for that. The photo is beautiful. razorsharp with a lot of fine details. It's nice to see that leave on the rightside of the Robin. You can then good estimate the size of this little bird. Have a nice weekend and TFS BOB

Hello Chris,
The NZ Robin looks very much similar to our Oriental Magpie Robin. The only difference is that instead of Grey ours have black colour. The food and habitats also share similarities.
It is a fine capture with excellent POV, sharpness and details. Good use of flash Nice composition too.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.
