[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The day was nearing its end and we had headed for home after driving and walking through some great country. We stopped on this bend of the Inangahua River near Reefton; I think the late afternoon light really brings out the beauty of this vista.

The Inangahua River is located in the northwest of New Zealand’s South Island. It is a major tributary of the Buller River, which it joins at the town of Inangahua Junction.
The river flows northwest for 35 kilometres, turning north after it passes through the town of Reefton. From here it continues for 30 kilometres before reaching the Buller some 40 kilometres from the larger river’s outflow into the Tasman Sea near Westport.

Hallo Chris
The combination of colours and textures and elements captured in this image is fantastic. I like this image a lot. There is such a lot of details in this scenery to appreciate. It almost looks like a painting, or a backdrop to a film. You have managed to capture a magnificant view.The dark blue colour of the river is stunning, and the thousands of rocks alongside the river adds a special touch to this already magnificent view. A wonderfully layered picture with the water, land, mountain and sky. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.

Hi Chris,
a very well chosen POV that's created heaps of depth and used the light very well. Very nice saturated colours and lots of detail throughout.

Hi Chris,
The mellow light of the evening does play a major role in giving this landscape a touch of subtle beauty. The colours and contrasts are deep and rich here. The blue of the river is the darkening reflection of the sky.
The depth of view is excellent. Those wisps of cloud in the distant sky add to the appeal of the landscape as a whole.

The light was really nice that evening.
I went back there a couple of weeks ago and stayed with my friend at Blacks Point for a couple of days.
