[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Every day at sunset the gulls fly up from the valley and out to sea. It's like a daily migration. I'm not sure why they do it or where they go.

This was a beautiful sunset and as I clicked the button I saw them fly past and I thought... this might be a lovely photo.

Hello Nicki,
I love silhouette photos like this. Beautiful coloration in the sunset with excellent sharpness and contrast on the gulls against teh background. Good exposure. You were right... this is a lovely photo!! TFS Thomas

Hi Nicki,
Excellent smooth colours of setting sun, very romantic;), You must watch out for the horizon line, I think picture could look better without it, please check my workshop, I hope You will like it.
cheers
Adrian

Hi again Nicki.
This is a great shot too.
The composition is great, and the colours and detail are good too.
I see Adrian has already pointed out the horizon to you so you'll e onto that next time.
Great stuff.
Cheers
Steve.
ps ... the Westland Black petrels, (Procellaria westlandica),one of the rarest birds in the world all fly out to sea at dawn near Barrytown, and come back in at sunset.
One day I hope to get up to the colony to photograph them.

What a nice shot, the colours are beautiful. And the photo is so clear. I think it would've been a little more effective though if you have more of a foreground. There might be just a little too much sky in this shot, other than that you've done a great job here!
