Hi Chris,
1st of all thank You very much for this kind gesture. Do I really deserve it? :) Secondly: beautiful collage, all photos are top notch with wonderful everything (colors, sharpness, POV etc.). Simply masterworks - or a masterwork, if we see the collage in one. Bravo.
Also big thanx (beside dedication and sharing) for this lesson about the fungi of the 5th continent. TN is a fantastic possibility to see fungi which don't grow here in Europe, on professional photos.
Let me show You the homepage of our fungi club, with lots of photos about the fungi we, members found here (some pics are mine).
Best regards from Your Hungarian friend, László

I think the lower left and the right photo are the better of the three, they stand out more and are photographed from a lower angle. I especially like the colros on the right one

Hello Chris,
Excellent presentation of these beautiful fungi! The blue one is really terrific, it must really stand out as you spot it on the forest floor. All three are excellent and very interesting captures! Well done!

Hello Chris,
Very good pictures of these colourful fungi. You have so many colourful species of fungi in New Zeland. I guess they are not all eatable. Excellent sharpness ang great colours.
Cheers,
Mariki
Hi Chris,
I have always been impressed with how well you have named our native species but you have let me down this time :) Gliophorus viridis and Hygrocybe stevensoniae are the same species with G. viridis been the currently accepted name. I think the one you had in mind is G. graminicolor These two green fungi need a microscope to tell a part although I suspect yours might be G. graminicolor.
The yellow one on the other hand looks like it has orange adnexed gills witch makes in not Hygrocybe cerinolutea. I feel it likely to be the yellow form of H. firma. This is the common form that I find in Auckland it starts life orange and as it matures it goes yellow with only the gill retaining any of the orange colour. The firma group are really a species complex that needs a lot more work to separate out some odd fungi like the bright red one you have previous posted which is also called H. firma.
Other wise nice photos with good colours

Hello Chris,
All three fungi are beautiful in this collage, depicted sharply and from excellent POV's and the colours match very well together too. I don't suppose any of them are edible but they are a feast for sore eyes!

Hi Chris,
a lovely collage of three beautiful mushrooms!
My favourite is the electric blue on.
Very good POV in each shot and they're all expertly composed.
Great lighting and colours.
Superb sharpness.
Well done,

Hi Chris,
Haven't been online for a while so I missed this.
Anyway, its a great collection of fungi.
I see Clive has some different ideas about the IDs of a couple of them.
They keep changing the names ... the book I have is about two years old.
I was sure I had those two right too.
Anyhow ... great collage.
Cheers
Steve
