Silvereye, White-eye (Zosterops lateralis)

Widely distributed in New Zealand and is often considered a pest in vineyards and orchards. It arrived naturally in the country from Tasmania, although possibly helped by sailing ships. Generally is one of the most common birds in gardens.

A very interesting close up of the Silver eye. I guess you zoomed in a bit too close that you had a wee bit of trouble with focus.But this is indeed a wonderful pose that you have captured.I know how difficult these little birds are to photograph..so one can imagine the efforts you would have put in...the colours are nice and the muted Bg sets off your subject very well.
