One of the things I love about living on the Coast is the beautiful sunsets we get to experience, almost on a daily basis. We have had the odd one where the whole sky glows and this photo reflects only a fraction of what one of those sunsets might look like. They are the ones you look longingly for in the sky as the sun starts to go down. I havent decided what the key factors are to one of those once in a year or so sunsets, I have often wondered if it is the amount of sea mist in the air. Whatever causes them, they are the things you look for and would grab the keys and head down to the beach for. I havent been lucky enough to have a camera in hand for one of those yet, but my hubby has, lucky thing.

Hi Nicki
Good colour saturation and a well-placed horizon. I think those brilliant sunsets you mention may depend on the way the cloud cover is, and if the wind has whipped them up then better still. I have seen many awesome sunset/cloud shots taken in the winter months, particularly July, when you get those wonderful cloud formations hanging over the sea in the evening. A wide-angle lens and composing your shot to include more sky than land would make a really great image to accentuate the colour and formations in the sky on such an occasion. Keep your eyes peeled. :)

The colours in this shot are amazing, I love how the sky is reflecting off of the wet sand. However I do feel that the photo would be so much more affective if it was a little bigger, other than that you've done a great job!

Hallo Nicki
How serene and peaceful this "Wonder of Nature" sunset scene displays on my screen. Amazing shot, with a beautiful golden display of colours. Very well captured. The warm red colour reflecting back in the water is great. Looking at this I am reminded of how privileged we are that most of our days end in such radiance and fulfilment. Thank you for sharing this special moment with us. Good composition. Well done, thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna
