[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bellbird (Anthornis melanura) Other names - Korimako, Makomako.

Endemic to New Zealnd. They are on the increase around Havelock North. This bird visits my bird table every day to feed on honey and fruit juice. He is a real dominant bird and empties the bird table of other birds on his arrival!

A quick wee bird you have managed to capture in a great pose. Nicely sharp and the catchlight in the eye adds life to the bird. I have done a workshop for you as I felt some cropping and slightly more contrast improves your shot. Watch for burnt out areas such as that which has appeared on the stalk the bird is clinging to. If you haven't already, shoot in RAW as this will give you better control over such things. Well done and TFS.
