[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well this was my lucky day today. For the last week or so a friend and I have kept tabs on our local white heron, looking for just the right opportunity to get a great photo. Problem is, he is pretty shy and flys off at the slightest movement. Well today I caught him fishing, and not being able to multi-task... ie...be worried about where I was and eat at the same time, he basically forgot I was there. In fact once or twice he actually waded towards me and I couldnt believe my eyes. He ended up coming within a hairs breath of me and I was able to get this lovely close up. I came home buzzing and hoping for more days like this one. Oh and by the way my new camera has arrived and I am still waiting on the 75 to 250 lens, which should come early this week and I cant wait. This photo was taken on my faithful and trusty old camera btw.
