Hi Janice,
First of all I must tell I'm a bit more strict with fungi photos than with others - You know how much I love them. So, this isn't a bad shot, but - by my opinion - doesn't show anything about the habitat of Coprinus plicatilis, doesn't show why it's called Japanese Umbrella. The top of the fungus is a bit oof, the rest's OK in sharpness. Great work with noise reduction on the bg.
Otherwise, it's a common specie worldwide, but very difficult to discover because of its ephemerical life. Usually begins growing at dawn, and becomes rotten to noon. So, I congratulate for discovering it.

This is a lovely composition showing this pretty fungus next to a beautiful American Oak (I think!). Very sharp details and wonderful colours too. Japanese Umbrella seems a very suitable name!

Your Polish is better and better every day :-) Parasol means umbrella also in my language :-) Very good composition with fungus and leaf. Looks like autumnal picture :-) Sorry, it was cruel :-)

TFS this one - well seen and captured. I enjoyed reading your note to learn a little more about fungi. It is interesting to read one of the comments above to see that this one opens in the morning and goes rotten by noon.

I welcome your creative idea and title so much. I have similar shot (I used as a model wild poppy flower) however, my associations were different. Very nice lights and colour palette. BG is so impressive and nice. My compliments.
