Well the big boss upstairs had a great present for me today on my birthday lol, and it came in the form of a White Heron. I saw him on the wharf in my travels, on the other side of the river. I tossed up just going home or driving over the other side and taking my chances of seeing if he was still there, or if I could get close to him. Something in my head, nagged me to go for the drive and so I did. I honestly thought he'd fly away the minute he saw me, but he didnt. I sat there while he posed, looking beautiful and then he flew off and I was able to catch that as well.
So it was a special birthday.

Many Happy Returns of the day, Nicki!
A fine birthday shot of a Great White Egret taking off. The light management and sharpness are superb. The composition may have been better with more space in the direction the egret is flying, but it is a fine shot anyway.
TFS,
Regards, Ivan
Now at least two good reason to celebrate. You were somewhat Blessed by this gift for your day..which is now by the time I write this, over....I can appreciate how hard it was to get the white bird against the bright sky. And in flight yet. ISO 100 gave you good results this time for sure.
