Hello to all my TN friends,
I had posted some images regarding our cliff and coastal grown tree - Puhutukawa - at a distance! and this is the one with a close range on the coast! I do not intend to break the rule of TOS to have the small human figure in the image but just to show the scale of the tree and coast!
Pohutukawa - commonly known as New Zealand Christmas tree which will see little red flowers for about 6-8 months during the hotter months of summer especially close to christmas! hopefully I will be back to this tree and capture the tree with little red flowers and sharing with you all!
Hope you can enjoy it and many thanks for your time!
have a great week!
Cheers!!

Hi Tony,
you New Zealanders really want us TN watchers to visit this country with the many fantastic landscapes, like this one. You did of course an excellent job in capturing the atmosphere, the light etc.

Hi Tony. The compostion in this one is first class in my eyes for what its worth. great detail and colours. The exposure is spot on. well done TFS.
Nick..

Maravillosa !!

Cool Tony...We have a Christmas cactus...actually have one right here at the house..but as per trees...the firs, pines and such are what usually remind me of Christmas...I was not ware of other areas such as yours nor the tree....which I absolutely love...from a distance it looks a bit like a willow in girth and in leaves per branch and size...and also in the gnarly way it grows...very cool. Another lesson for my day..well actually my second one as Mario did a whole theme plan...but I very much appreciate your input and wonderful iamges.
Bob

Where is this tree.. we lived in Auckland for 6 years and it looks familier (although there are a lot of them around lol) This is a lovely shot, reminds me of long summer days at the beach and of being out on the boats snapper fishing. A nice shot. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tony,

Would I love to be the person on the beach!! I would love to see this tree with the little red flowers. Beautiful picture with the massive tree filling so much of the frame. The water and clouds look wonderful! Beautiful scene - beautiful composition.

Jane

Hello Tony. The tree is the center of attraction here. The trunk with parasitic plants making it very interesting. The sharp detail is well covered with the green moss on the ground. Beautiful composition and I like this one too. Best regards. Jusni

Hi Tony!

What a wonderful composition, I think it does help to have that man there! We can guess how big the tree is, and it is with lots of details: it's so good to have the 300k limit at a picture like this...
Lights and shadows bring out even more depth of the tree. TFS!

Best regards,
Andor

Hi Tony,
Marvelous and also fantastic landscape shot of your beautiful country my friend! The details on the tree and ground are realy great.
Many thanks sharing this scenery with us my friend!
All the best!
Cheers,

Bayram

What a lovely shot, I love the very different proportion/scale you bring out!Like you're trying to say how small man is in comparison with Creation/Nature!
Very well done, Tony!

Hello Tony,
A beautifully composed capture of the Pohutukawa tree taken from a great POV with the main branches leaning out over the beach. These branches seem to have aireal roots (they don't look like lichens), which adds interest to the tree as well. I think you were right to include the human figure on the horizon: its hardly a portrait of a person and gives a feeling of scale and depth.
TFS this delight,
Ivan

Hi Tony.
What an impressive tree and view at whole. I am amazed with selection of the POV and outstanding reproduction of all wonderful elements of the landscape. Once more stunning work from you. My greetings and TFS.
Alexei.

Hi Tony,
It looks like a fellow photographer or a fisherman. To me the person is a perfect ellement for this photo. The scale become more obvious.
The tree is a real beauty, one I would love to have close to my home, since single trees are a magnet for me. I love how the tree is clinging on the rocks for dear life. The colors and details in the photo are superbly captured.
TFS,
Niek

I cna't wait to see this giant with full of red flowers. I hope you will show us this beauty this summer. But what a giant Tony. I never seen this size before. Amazing. Great contrast and sharpness. beautiful natural colours.

Hi Tony!

This place is marvellous! If only it would have a name that is easier to pronounce... !

:-)

Well, not the name is important here, but the piece of wild and peaceful nature you present us in your usual perfect composition. I especially like the large space you have allowed to the impressive tree. The human beside it is quite small... A symbol?

Kind regards

Markus

Hello Tony,
What a beautiful huge tree clinging on to the edge of the beach where no doubt the waves have been high in the past. Excellent POV and fine details even showing long lichens hanging on the branches. Beautiful colours too and well composed.

Ciao Tony,
bellissimo paesaggio catturato con uno splendido effetto grandangolare che esalta la maestosità dell'albero in primo piano e apre la scena su questo grande spazio dove la silhouette dell'uomo è piccola cosa, ottima definizione e magnifici i colori.
TFS.
